Abstract

Background. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the constitutional and statutory courts are the subjects of the official activities of legal systematization. The purpose of this article is to establish the influence of the legal principles, constituting the foundations of the constitutional system in the Russian Federation, in the formation of this practice.
Materials and methods. The reseach task was implemented through the study of decisions of the constitutional and statutory courts on the official interpretation of basic laws of subjects of the Russian Federation.
Results. The author investigated decisions and legal positions of the constitutional and statutory courts, formulated on the basis of legal principles, relating to the foundation of the constitutional system in the Russian Federation.   
Conclusions. As evidenced by the jurisprudence of regional bodies, the legal principles, constituting the foundations of the constitutional system in the Russian Federation, can act as a base of legal systematization of decisions of the constitutional and statutory courts and of the legal positions, developed thereupon.
